The advice I got was, write a little every day, because it is like a muscle - it will build over time. I had written some Murder Mystery stories for events at the B&B the last few years. During the pandemic, I started writing every week. By November 2020 I was putting 2500 words a week in google docs. Writing regularly worked!
It took longer to make sense out of all of it. A few weeks ago, I got my first story published in a collection. I've joined writing challenges and have one article that got into the finals of the challenge. I hope to hear soon about the results! With those accomplishments, I thought this was a good time to review and share. To do that, I'd like to invite you to get an update on my writing and hear about one of the new characters we'll be using during the next season of Murder Mystery dinners.
Join us for a free virtual storytelling event on Tuesday, June 29th at 8:30pm. It is very convenient, you can join via your phone, a tablet, or a computer. I'll share a little more about my writing and Pauline, our hostess at the Murder Mystery Dinners will be reading some of the poetry and fiction short stories I've written. In a similar Fantasy theme, think Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones, one of the Murder Mysteries we did was "Murder at the Bloody Beak."
The day was drawing to a close. Several groups of travelers and some locals could be seen heading into The Bloody Beak Tavern to get an evening meal. It was a well-known and highly recommended tavern and inn, run by a local family for nearly 20 years. Candles and magical sconces lit the main room. The barkeep and staff greeted the growing crowd with enthusiasm. The evening was like many before it. That is until renown minstrel Falvon Sand, Bard of the Ice Flute, entered the tavern. 
As you can imagine some bad things happened and all the guests were suspects! We have run that story 3 times, so I am preparing a new fantasy story.
Pauline will be in costume at the Virtual Storytelling Event as Lavani, the mystical Mayor of Monsilt. In addition to the new fantasy genre story. We want to know what other types of stories suspects, I mean guests, might be interested in when attending a Murder Mystery Dinner.
